Brandon J. “B.J.” Billeaudeau, MPA

B.J. Billeaudeau, MPA, is a Vice President in the Baton Rouge office.
Billeaudeau leads the firm’s Advisory Services division. He has more than 18 years of healthcare experience in finance and operations, including working with healthcare organizations, attorneys, administrators, providers, provider practices, consultants, and private equity groups in connection with a broad spectrum of transactions in the healthcare industry.
Over his career, Billeaudeau has been actively involved with multiple types of arrangements within the healthcare space, such as management services agreements, affiliation agreements, joint ventures, acquisition of entities, and more. In all these arrangements, his role was to work with an executive team from multiple parties to help clients meet their mutual patient care and business goals. His work with hospitals and provider practices focused on the development and operation of statewide outpatient community cancer centers, and included strategic planning, relationship management, revenue cycle, and identifying and implementing solutions to challenges in complex marketplaces.
His client philosophy is that “our client’s success is our success” and his approach is to create highly personalized experiences to provide each client with custom solutions. No matter how basic or complex the issue is, HealthCare Appraisers’ leverages its extensive knowledge from a team of diverse professional experts to provide results-oriented guidance.
Prior to his Advisory role, Billeaudeau served as a director in the Compensation Valuation service line at HealthCare Appraisers where his practice focused primarily on the analysis of healthcare provider compensation and business transactions with Stark, Anti-Kickback or other federal or state regulatory implications, including IRS private inurement and corporate practice of medicine.
Before becoming an employee-owner at HealthCare Appraisers, Billeaudeau worked in both the public and private sectors, including having served as Director of Finance for Louisiana Health Plan. He also served as the administrative leader of the clinical oncology service line for the largest cancer center in Louisiana. In this leadership role, Billeaudeau oversaw management of clinical operations and business processes for the six outpatient infusion departments and five physician practices of the cancer center, as well as its statewide affiliates.
Billeaudeau earned a Master of Public Administration in Healthcare Administration from Louisiana State University.
